Victoria Griffin
Victoria Griffin was raised in New Mexico and is pleased to call Las Cruces her home for more than 50 years, making her an excellent resource of the area for her members.
She earned a Masters of Business from New Mexico State University and after working in Human Resources she began a 25-year career as a special education English teacher. She is passionate about using her teaching skills to educate her members and clearly present information to guide them through the Medicare process.
Victoria knows that the Medicare process can be overwhelming and is dedicated in helping her members understand their coverage choices and support them as their needs change throughout their lives. She has enjoyed the friendships she has gained by being in her
member’s lives over the years.
In her free time, she enjoys adventuring with her husband, hanging out with her two sons, reading, gardening, and playing with her dogs and cats.

Medicare Information
Medicare Coverage
Insurance provided by the federal government
Enroll in Original Medicare and decide if you want additional
coverage by adding an advantage or supplement plan
Part A: Helps pay Hospital stays- most people do not pay for Part A
Part B: Helps pay for Doctor visits- most people pay monthly premium depending upon income
Part D: Prescription Drug plan required with original Medicare usually with a monthly premium
You can enroll 3 months before your 65th birthday and up to 3 months afterwards.
You can also enroll 2 years after being qualified as disabled with your state social security office.
People with End-Stage Renal Disease {permanent kidney failure} can enroll at any time.
Medicare Advantage Plan
Part C: Combine parts A and B with Prescription drug part D and are offered by private insurance companies as an alternative to Original Medicare. Most plans also offer additional benefits like vision, hearing, dental, etc.
Medicare Supplement Insurance
These policies pay for some or all the cost not covered by Original Medicare coverage like deductibles and co-pays for medical services.
Supplement plans have a monthly premium but little if no extra out of pocket cost depending on the plan you choose. A prescription plan will also need to be acquired.
Enrollment Periods:
Annual Enrollment Period, October 15- December 7
At this time you can add, drop or switch your Medicare coverage
Open Enrollment Period, January 1- March 31
At this time people who are already a Medicare advantage plan member can make a change in their Medicare advantage plan or go back to original Medicare
Special Enrollment Period,
At this time you may make a change in your Medicare advantage for special circumstances such as retiring, moving, change in Medicaid, or diagnosed with a qualifying chronic health condition
